The Editorial Board(editorial committee) consists of not more than 20 editorial members, including the editor-in-chief.
The editorial committee has independent status and authority regarding the editorial work of the Annals of Phlebology (Ann Phlebology).
The editorial committee establishes the review and editing policy, submission regulations, and manuscript writing guidelines for the Annals of Phlebology (Ann Phlebology) and decides whether or not to publish the paper based on the results of the paper review.
The editor-in-chief has both knowledge and virtue, and is appointed by the president of the Korean Society for Phlebology.
The term of office of the editor-in-chief and editors is, in principle, two years, but they may be reappointed.
The editorial committee carries out the following tasks.
① Request for review of papers submitted to the Annals of Phlebology (Ann Phlebology)
② Deliberation on whether to publish papers to be published in the Annals of Phlebology (Ann Phlebology)
③ Adjustment of publication order of the Annals of Phlebology (Ann Phlebology)
④ Editing of the Annals of Phlebology (Ann Phlebology)
⑤ Other matters related to the publication of the Annals of Phlebology (Ann Phlebology)
To ensure fairness in review, the editorial committee must comply with the following.
① Reviewers who are recognized as having a significant interest in the contributor should not be selected.
② If there is a large difference of opinion between reviewers or between the contributor and reviewers, and if there is an objection from the contributor, the editorial committee consisting of three or more editors shall decide whether to publish or reexamine the article.
③ The review must be conducted within a set deadline. However, if the period has elapsed due to unavoidable reasons, the editorial committee shall establish separate regulations in internal regulations.
④ Review by the editor-in-chief and editors is determined by separate internal regulations.
⑤ If the editor-in-chief determines that the review results of the appointed reviewer are inadequate, he/she must request another review from a third party.
The editor-in-chief must convene the editorial committee at least twice per year. However, considering nationwide distribution, a meeting via on-line may be replaced.
When an editorial committee meeting is held, the quorum for decision-making is determined by majority attendance and majority approval.
The expenses incurred for editing work are supported by the budget of the Korean Society for Phlebology.
